School Sport Dance Update

The finishing touches are being put together for The National School Sport Dance. All the information and resources required for the day should be complete and ready to send out tomorrow (Fri 6th Jan). This will include a link to the full length video of the dance, the guidelines for the World Record attempt and the evidence documentation required. All schools/groups who have signed up so far will receive a direct email tomorrow night with this information.  An email will be sent every evening to the schools/groups that have signed up during that day.

A couple of videos have been added to You Tube that may help schools to prepare for the Dance. Number 1 is a clearer version of the Dance Sequence.  Number 2 is a dance lesson of the dance that may help schools to teach it. The directions are reversed so if played through a projector/whiteboard participants can mirror the moves. I will try to get these on the website asap as I am aware schools cannot access You Tube.

School Sport partnerships provide opportunities for young people aged 5-19 to have access to high quality PE & Sports provision both in school and the wider community.

School Sport Partnerships across the Country have revolutionised PE and School Sport. They have greatly increased the number of participants, competitors, aspiring coaches and young leaders. In the spending review the government have decided not to continue the funding for School Sport Partnerships.  Following the announcement a campaign has been launched to attempt to reverse the decision. This website aims to keep people up to date with the campaign.

There are 450 school sport partnerships covering every school in England.
